Expectations for Quality Residential Environment Including Road Widening and Park Development
Goyang Special City held a resident briefing session on the management plan (draft) for Ilsandong Future Town (small-scale housing maintenance management area) at the Ilsan Nonghyup headquarters on the 29th, targeting residents of Ilsandong. Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 31st that it successfully held a residents' briefing session on the Ilsandong Future Town (small-scale housing maintenance management area) management plan (draft) at the Ilsan Nonghyup headquarters on the 29th for residents of Ilsandong.
About 170 people, including Ilsandong residents, city council members, and related officials, attended the briefing session to listen to explanations about the management plan establishment and to participate in a Q&A session.
According to the Future Town management plan, integrated development on a block basis will become possible, and the overall project feasibility will greatly improve due to the upgrade of zoning areas. Additionally, the width of roads and sidewalks within the area will be expanded, facilitating smoother vehicle traffic and pedestrian movement, and infrastructure such as parks will be created to provide a high-quality residential environment.
The majority of residents who participated in the briefing session generally welcomed the transformation of the entire area into a high-quality residential district through road widening and park creation.
A resident attending the briefing session requested, "We ask the administrative authorities to actively promote the successful fruition of Ilsandong as a Future Town."
