Completion of Relocation Notice for Ahyeon 2 District Housing Reconstruction Project in Mapo-gu
Relocation Notice Finalized with Completion of Maintenance Infrastructure
Mapo-gu Conducts Pre-Use Inspections, Providing Prompt and Thorough Administrative Support
Mapo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Park Gang-su) completed the relocation notification for the Ahyeon 2 District Housing Reconstruction Maintenance Project, the last redevelopment area of Ahyeon New Town, on October 31, 2024.
Ahyeon 2 District received approval for the establishment of the association on May 27, 2003, and obtained partial completion approval for the apartment complex on November 29, 2022. Currently, 1,419 households have moved in.
However, the overall completion of the project was delayed due to separate construction of maintenance infrastructure facilities (parks, parking lots, etc.) created as part of the redevelopment project.
The district office focused on promptly completing the construction of these maintenance infrastructure facilities to resolve such inconveniences.
They conducted pre-inspections by each department to check for resident inconveniences and provided administrative support by supplementing deficiencies through reviews by resident evaluation groups and external experts.
Through this, the completion of the maintenance infrastructure facilities was achieved, and finally, the relocation notification was completed on October 31, 2024.
Following the completion of the relocation notification, the district office plans to promptly proceed with the creation of building registers as a subsequent administrative procedure.
This will enable the members of the Ahyeon 2 District association and the buyers to start stable management of the apartment complex. Additionally, once the building register is created, it will be possible to carry out apartment complex activity permit procedures to improve inconveniences after moving in, through resident consent or resolutions of the residents' representative meetings.
Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, “The relocation notification of Ahyeon 2 District is an important step beyond a simple administrative procedure to create a stable residential environment for residents,” and added, “Mapo-gu will continue to prioritize residents’ convenience and happiness, and will not spare continuous interest and support.”
