Department of Port Logistics Systems, Development of a Container Terminal Data Loss Prevention System Model
The achievements of international graduate students studying at Dongmyeong University in Busan are drawing attention.
Professor Cho Gyuseong of the Department of Port Logistics Systems at Dongmyeong University reported on the 30th that the graduate student team, composed solely of foreigners, won the grand prize in the student category (Korea Internet & Security Agency Award) and a prize of 3 million KRW at the '2024 Information Security IR and Update Competition' held on the 29th.
This competition is part of the 'Regional Hub Information Security Cluster Construction Project' conducted by the Busan Information Industry Promotion Agency, with a total prize of 10 million KRW, awarding 5 million KRW each in the cultivation and expansion categories. The cultivation category involves teams formed by university (graduate) students from the Busan-Gyeongnam region and focuses on developing information security business models linked to convergence security.
The Dongmyeong University team, the only foreign graduate student team participating in this competition (Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Dao Quang Hieu, Tran Xuan Trong), proposed an information security business model applicable to port container terminals under the theme of 'Development of a Data Loss Prevention System (DLPS) Model for Container Terminals.'
Professor Cho, who supervised the team, said, "We will continue research to strengthen information security in the port logistics industry and enhance competitiveness in cybersecurity."
The graduate students in the Department of Port Logistics Systems at Dongmyeong University currently consist of eight Vietnamese students.
