Now in its second year, the “Visiting Companion Plant Consultation Center” is open to anyone who loves and grows companion plants, and offers free use of up to two repotting services per person (within 25 cm width × 50 cm height pots).
The city explained that urban agriculture experts will directly visit three apartment complexes in the area to provide comprehensive companion plant care services including ▲ personalized companion plant education ▲ plant care consultation ▲ repotting service ▲ plant management methods ▲ pest and disease concerns.
Furthermore, with the rapid increase in interest and demand for companion plants, it is expected that providing accurate information to citizens who grow companion plants will enhance the importance and understanding of plant care.
A city official stated, “To promote healthy leisure activities for urban residents and expand urban agriculture culture, we plan to provide companion plant care, treatment, and consultation services in densely populated residential areas. We will diagnose plant conditions and guide care methods to help prevent difficulties in companion plant management, contributing not only to psychological stability but also to alleviating emotional isolation, thereby striving to improve citizens’ quality of life.”
