5Samo Conducts Jjajang Service for Military Personnel with '5NeulDo Jjajanghae' Activity The Association for the Love of the 5th Division conducted a Jjajang sharing volunteer service for the Republic of Korea soldiers on the 29th at the 911th Battalion of the 5th Artillery Brigade in Wacho-ri, Yeoncheon-gun.

The 5th Division Support Group (5Samo) announced on the 30th that on the 29th, 18 volunteers gathered at the 911th Battalion of the 5th Artillery Brigade in Wacho-ri, Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province, to share Jjajang (black bean sauce noodles) with military personnel.

5Samo is a veteran volunteer organization that regularly conducts Jjajang volunteer activities at military units of the 5th Division in Yeoncheon-gun. They make Jjajangmyeon by hand-kneading the noodles and preparing the ingredients, then share the meals with the soldiers.

The project titled "Jjajang Volunteer Service for Military Personnel, 5neuldo Jjajanghae," selected as an excellent volunteer program by Yeoncheon-gun in 2024, involved volunteers sharing Jjajangmyeon with soldiers living on the front lines to encourage them and promote communication between civilians and the military. The project was carried out eight times from March to October.

Kim Tae-seok, president of 5Samo, said, "We feel rewarded to serve a heartfelt meal to the soldiers who diligently protect the country's safety in the front-line area of Yeoncheon and to acknowledge their hard work. We plan to continue activities that foster harmony between the military and civilians on a regular basis."
