The KOSPI index has been moving around the 2610 level after starting lower on the 30th.
As of 10:57 a.m. that day, the KOSPI was trading at 2611.12, down 6.68 points (0.26%) from the previous day. The index opened at 2606.99, down 10.81 points (0.41%), and the decline has been gradually narrowing. Currently, foreigners have sold stocks worth 296.4 billion KRW, while individuals and institutions are net buyers of 286.3 billion KRW and 1.5 billion KRW, respectively.

Among the top market capitalization stocks, NAVER (2.72%), SK Hynix (2.21%), LG Chem (1.26%), and LG Energy Solution (0.86%) are rising. On the other hand, Korea Zinc (-6.09%), Samsung C&T (-4.55%), Shinhan Financial Group (-3.88%), Meritz Financial Group (-1.83%), Samsung Biologics (-1.81%), Samsung Life Insurance (-1.76%), and KB Financial Group (-1.68%) are declining.
By sector, textiles and apparel (1.83%), machinery (1.20%), medical precision (0.50%), electrical and electronics (0.47%), and services (0.43%) are rising. Conversely, steel and metals (-2.44%), insurance (-1.79%), finance (-1.28%), and pharmaceuticals (-0.98%) sectors are falling.
On the 29th (local time), the three major U.S. stock indexes closed mixed in New York. The blue-chip-focused Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 154.52 points (0.36%) to close at 42,233.05. The large-cap S&P 500 index rose 9.4 points (0.16%) to 5,832.92, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq index increased 145.56 points (0.78%) to close at an all-time high of 18,712.75.
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index rose 0.26 points (0.03%) to 744.44 compared to the previous session. The index opened at 743.53, down 0.65 points (0.09%). Foreigners and institutions were net sellers of 49.3 billion KRW and 8.2 billion KRW, respectively. Individuals bought stocks worth 57.1 billion KRW.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, ST Pharm (2.75%), Silicon투 (1.98%), Pharma Research (1.28%), and Hugel (0.72%) are rising. Meanwhile, Enchem (-2.21%), EO Technics (-1.80%), Ligand Chem Bio (-1.59%), Alteogen (-1.55%), and Classys (-1.70%) are declining.
