The Emissions Trading Market Council announced on the 30th that it will hold the 'Second Half Advisory Committee Seminar' on the 4th of next month.


At the seminar, the latest policy trends for achieving carbon neutrality by domestic companies will be introduced, and strategic response measures for greenhouse gas reduction will be explored with experts from various fields.


The event will begin with a greeting from Maeng Won-ho, Chairman of the Emissions Trading Market Council. Dr. Lee Si-hyung of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry will present on "Implications of the 4th Basic Plan and Response Tasks for Our Companies," and Ahn Young-hwan, Chair of the Green Growth Committee's Greenhouse Gas Reduction Subcommittee, will speak on "2035 National Greenhouse Gas Reduction Target (NDC) and Future Tasks." Additionally, Kim Kyung-gye, Director of the Climate Change Diplomacy Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will discuss "COP28 Outcomes and COP29 Negotiation Issues."


In the subsequent panel discussion, Professor Oh Dae-gyun of Seoul National University will serve as the moderator. Experts related to the emissions trading market, including Yang Han-na, Head of the Climate Economy Division at the Ministry of Environment; Moon Jun-ho, Manager at the Korea Exchange; Professor Cho Hong-jong of Dankook University; Kwon Dong-hyuk, Director at BNZ Partners; Choi Chang-min, Lawyer at Plan 1.5; and Ha Sang-seon, Executive Director at EcoEye, will conduct common inquiries by agenda and open discussions.


Attendance at the seminar is open to both member companies and the general public without any participation fee.
