The Family Trip for Children with Disabilities is an event held once a year in collaboration with the public interest foundation, Purme Foundation, to provide emotional rest and memories to children with disabilities and their families. This year marks the 13th anniversary. The costs associated with running the program are covered by the SPC Happy Fund, which is funded by SPC Group employees donating a portion of their monthly salary.
This year, the program will take place over four days and three nights from the 29th in Jeju Island, with about 30 families of children with disabilities participating. Various activities such as sightseeing, barbecues, and family recreation will be conducted. SPC Group employees will also participate as volunteers to assist with the program, and limited-edition Jeju souvenirs, Paris Baguette's 'Jeju Maum Sand,' will be given out.
A representative from the SPC Happy Foundation said, "Through the SPC Happy Fund, introduced to promote a culture of donation, we are carrying out various support projects for children with disabilities together with our employees. We hope that through this trip, children with disabilities and their families can escape their tiring daily lives, find rest and stability, and create joyful memories."
The SPC Happy Fund is a social contribution project in partnership with the Purme Foundation that supports rehabilitation treatment, special aptitude education, family trips, and more for children with disabilities. Since 2012, it has supported approximately 1,600 children with disabilities and their families with 2.55 billion KRW.
