Samsung C&T Corporation's Construction Division announced on the 30th that it will hold the '2024 FutureScape Demo Day.'
Held on the first floor of Samsung C&T's headquarters in Gangdong-gu, Seoul, this event is an open innovation program that discovers startups with excellent innovative technologies and ideas, supporting opportunities such as market validation and business partnerships. The event is co-hosted by Samsung C&T and the Seoul Business Agency.
After a contest held in May, six startups were finally selected out of a total of 317 companies. This program is characterized by expanding its scope beyond the traditional construction industry to include IT and platform startups. The selected startups are ▲Pampee (web-based interactive XR content creation tool) ▲RibbonCare (AIoT-based senior smart care service) ▲HealthMax (personal health data measurement·management platform) ▲Waddle (conversational AI-based customer response solution) ▲OrdinaryMagic (customized play and space consulting for infant development) ▲PlayTag (AI-based behavior analysis and health tracking)
At the event, these startups will share the results of their approximately four-month business proof of concept (PoC) conducted with Samsung C&T. Various sessions, including booth experiences, will be held to share actual experiences and know-how regarding innovative technologies. Samsung C&T organized this event to facilitate practical investment and business connections. The event will be attended by professional investment institutions such as Shinhan Venture Investment, Samsung Venture Investment, Mark & Company, as well as accelerators.
Cho Hye-jung, Senior Vice President and Head of the DxP Business Division at Samsung C&T, said, "Based on the results of the Demo Day, we will promote the concretization of collaborative business models and early commercialization, and continue to operate the discovery, investment, and business cooperation of innovative startups to lead the creation of a co-growth ecosystem."
