SKT Leads Promising AI Companies
Announces Strategy and Presents Future Vision
Rebellion Also Plans to Join
The alliance of promising artificial intelligence (AI) companies, 'K-AI Alliance,' will participate in the 'SK AI Summit 2024' held at COEX on the 4th and 5th of next month.
SK Telecom, leading the K-AI Alliance, expects this summit to serve as a foothold in consolidating South Korea's AI capabilities and expanding its reach globally.
There are 19 member companies of the K-AI Alliance participating in the summit. The participating members will exhibit their AI services, solutions, and technologies, and take part in sessions presenting AI business models, application cases, future strategies, and visions for AI.
Additionally, a special session titled 'Globalization of the K-AI Ecosystem' will be held, centered around the member companies at the SK AI Summit.
The session will introduce the necessity and considerations for domestic AI startups entering the global market, the importance of cooperation and networking among domestic companies, and will feature active discussions.
In particular, member company XL8 will provide real-time interpretation in subtitle form for the entire event through its self-developed AI interpretation subtitle service, 'EventCat,' at this summit.
The K-AI Alliance has expanded to a total of 23 companies after four new companies joined following the 'Unite' event in July.
The newly joined companies are digital healthcare firms 'Soundable Health' and 'ByFive,' IT service specialist 'TechAce,' and on-device AI solution and development platform company 'Nota AI.'
AI semiconductor company Rebellion, which is preparing for a merger with Sapion Korea within the year, is also expected to join the alliance as a member.
Yu Young-sang, CEO of SKT, stated, "K-AI Alliance's participation in the SK AI Summit will showcase the alliance's technological capabilities externally and further support the global expansion of alliance member companies. We will join forces with the K-AI Alliance to strengthen the domestic AI ecosystem and advance globally."
