100kg Wild Boar Rampage at Yangsan Hopo Station, Eventually Shot Dead
A wild boar weighing about 100 kg appeared at Hopo Station in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, causing one person to be injured and damage to facilities inside the station.
At around 4:45 p.m. on the 29th, a wild boar appeared near a restaurant in Dong-myeon, Yangsan City. The boar then crossed an 8-lane road and entered the second floor of Hopo Station on Busan Metro Line 2, located on the opposite side, where it rampaged inside the station.

During this incident, a man in his 30s who was in the third-floor restroom was bitten on his right arm and was transported to the hospital. Additionally, the glass door of the metro customer center on the fourth floor was damaged. The injured man was confirmed to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
The police, who responded to the report, drove the wild boar to the edge of the fifth-floor platform and fired three live rounds to immobilize it. Afterwards, a professional hunter arrived and confirmed the boar was fatally shot at around 5:43 p.m. The wild boar was confirmed to be about 1.5 meters in length and weighed approximately 100 kg.
The police, together with the fire department, are managing the scene and investigating the cause of the wild boar's appearance and the extent of the damage.
