Over 30 Companies Participating, 156 Hires Planned... Support for Job Change and Career Transition
Diverse Programs Including Consulting, Special Lectures, and Corporate Lounge Provided
Goyang Special City will hold the "2024 Goyang City Middle-aged and Senior Job Fair" on November 7 at Kintex Hall 6 to facilitate efficient matching between companies and job seekers. Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 30th that it will hold the ‘2024 Goyang City Middle-aged and Senior Job Fair’ on November 7th at Hall 6 of Ilsan KINTEX to facilitate efficient matching between companies and job seekers.
Co-hosted by the Gyeonggi Northern Office of the Small and Medium Business Administration and the Goyang Employment and Labor Office of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, this fair brings together local employment agencies to support middle-aged and senior job seekers.
The fair is composed of the △Recruitment Hall △Special Lecture Hall △Job Preparation Hall △Tomorrow Planning Hall △HR Manager Community △Side Experience Hall.
In the Recruitment Hall, 30 outstanding companies from Goyang City will participate to conduct on-site interviews to hire a total of 156 people for various positions such as nursing assistants, accounting clerks, logistics clerks, social workers, MDs (merchandise planning and sales management), career counselors, and cooks.
In the company promotion zone, the National Cancer Center, IKEA, and FC Works will participate to provide recruitment consultations, and headhunting companies and career transition support booths will assist professionals and experienced job seekers with job changes and career transitions.
In the Job Preparation Hall, employment consulting, AI (artificial intelligence) interview consulting, and vocational psychological testing will be provided. Furthermore, for those needing in-depth counseling on job exploration and job information, consultations with companies can be received at the Tomorrow Planning Hall.
Additionally, to prepare for mental management and external image making during reemployment, the Side Experience Hall offers stress measurement, personal color analysis, and hair consulting. Participants can also enjoy interactive events such as industrial safety VR (virtual reality) experiences and sticker tours.
In the lecture hall, to cope with the rapidly changing times, a session titled ‘How to Become a Pro N-jobber to Enhance My Value’ will explore ways to expand one’s career. As part of Goyang City’s HR Manager Community project, a labor special lecture for small and medium enterprises and a corporate lounge space will also be prepared.
An official from Goyang City’s Job Policy Division said, “This fair reflects diversity from easily accessible jobs to experienced career positions under the slogan ‘Everything about middle-aged and senior jobs, from job information to professional and experienced career support.’ It will be an opportunity for companies to hire suitable talent locally and for job seekers to experience a broader job spectrum.”
