Min Hee-jin to Appear on Critic Kim Young-dae's YouTube Channel on the 29th
"Recently Followed While Taking a Taxi," She Reveals
"V Called from the Military... Asked If I'm Okay"
At a beach in Spain where the music video for "Attention" was filmed, NewJeans members and Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR (far right), are taking a commemorative photo.
Min Hee-jin, former CEO of ADOR and the overall producer of the group ‘NewJeans,’ revealed that she was stalked and even received death threats following conflicts with HYBE.
On the 29th, Min Hee-jin appeared on the YouTube channel ‘Kim Young-dae’s School of Music’ live broadcast and stated, “I recently found out I was being followed while taking a taxi.” She explained, “I took a taxi to go to the hospital, and after riding for a while, just a few minutes before getting off, the driver said, ‘I think you’re being followed.’ When I asked how he knew, he said it was strange from the moment I got in the taxi.”
The taxi driver reportedly told Min Hee-jin, “From the moment you got in, a certain car was right behind you,” and “Even though I turned the car in a way that they absolutely couldn’t follow, they still did.” The driver also warned, “If someone gets out of that car to follow you, it’s 100% stalking.”
In response, Min Hee-jin deliberately got off at a third location without reaching her original destination, and sure enough, someone from the car following the taxi got out and followed her. Min Hee-jin explained, “The person who got out of the car stalking me was looking around nervously, so I said ‘you’ and pointed at him with my finger. Then that person ran away.” She added, “I chased after him like crazy, took a photo, remembered the car’s license plate, and immediately reported it to the police.”
Min Hee-jin also claimed, “I received death threats,” adding, “There were many strange and ridiculous incidents.” However, she smiled and said, “I know it’s not my fate to die.”
On the same day, Min Hee-jin attracted attention by revealing an episode where BTS member V contacted her to check on her despite the ongoing conflict with HYBE. She said, “V sometimes calls me from the military. It’s hard to believe he’s really in the military,” and added, “Even while I was going through this (conflict with HYBE), he cheerfully called and asked, ‘Are you okay?’ He said he was worried about when he should contact me after the conflict first broke out and some time had passed.”
Min Hee-jin also expressed her determination regarding the confrontation with HYBE, saying, “I will try to go as far as I can until the end.” Regarding the dismissal of her injunction request against HYBE, she said, “Since this injunction was unprecedented, I estimated the chances of winning (injunction approval) to be about 10 to 20 percent,” indicating that the outcome was expected.
Earlier, the court dismissed Min Hee-jin’s request demanding ‘reappointment as CEO’ on the same day.
