Expectations for Strengthening Job Competencies and Expanding Employment Opportunities for Youth
21 Trainees Selected Through Pre-Enrollment
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) will conduct the "Computer Utilization Ability Level 2 Certification Course" for the local youth from the 29th to December 10th at the Second Government Building.
This 100-hour course includes practical subjects such as general computer knowledge, spreadsheet theory, and basic, calculation, and analysis tasks, and supports certification acquisition by linking to past exam problem solving. Through this, the plan is to strengthen the job competencies of the youth and cultivate personnel who can immediately apply their skills in the workplace. Twenty-one trainees were selected through a prior recruitment process.
The Gapyeong-gun Job Center annually surveys job seekers' preferences to discover and operate customized education programs. This year, it conducted the "Barista Level 2 Certification Course" and "New Security Guard Training" for vulnerable groups such as military families, women with career experience, multicultural women, and middle-aged and older adults, achieving a result of connecting 21 out of 47 graduates to employment.
An official from the county stated, "Through this education, we will nurture professionals with expertise and actively support their activities as experts after the training ends to contribute to an increase in employment rates."
