Yeoncheon County Youth Development Foundation Director Park Seong-gwon, Art Program Draws Attention

Park Seong-gwon, CEO of the Yeoncheon County Youth Development Foundation, is conducting an art program that brings the characteristics of musical instruments and musical commentary together onto the street.

Gyeonggi (Foundation) Yeoncheon County Youth Development Foundation (Youth Culture House) announced on the 29th that on the 25th, Director Park Seong-gwon of the foundation conducted an outdoor art program for students of the Hyewoombang After-School Academy, combining explanations of musical instruments' characteristics with musical commentary.

This musical instrument explanation program was carried out at the suggestion of Director Park Seong-gwon, a Master of Music from the City University of New York Graduate School and conductor of the Gangdong Yul Orchestra.

Hong Ji-won, a student at Hyewoombang After-School Academy, said, "I was surprised by how many types of trumpets there are, and I was moved by the trumpet's soft yet powerful tone."

Kim Deok-hyun, Chairman of the Yeoncheon County Youth Development Foundation, said, "I am grateful to Director Park Seong-gwon for providing youth with emotional health and meaningful time, and that classical music, which is usually hard to access, helped the students of Hyewoombang After-School Academy achieve emotional stability."
