Miryang City Holds Event to Promote Consumption of Eulgumgol Apples

Miryang City in Gyeongnam will simultaneously hold the "2024 Miryang Eoreumgol Apple Consumption Promotion Event" from November 2 to 3 at the Eoreumgol Public Parking Lot (Sannae-myeon) and Sunshine Miryang Theme Park (Danjang-myeon).

Eoreumgol apples are known as Korea's representative premium apples with the best taste and quality. Hosted by the Miryang Eoreumgol Apple Development Council, this event is organized to promote the excellence of Eoreumgol apples during the harvest season and to boost sales through discount promotions.

During the event, the Eoreumgol Public Parking Lot will feature a booth displaying the top apples selected by a judging panel from this year's harvest and apple cuisine exhibits. Various programs such as busking and Pumba performances, as well as discounted sales of Eoreumgol apples, will be offered.

At Sunshine Miryang Theme Park, there will be various games using apples, hands-on crafting experiences for children and families, strawberry growing experiences, and performances including Nanta, band, and belly dance. Additionally, sales booths for Eoreumgol apples and Miryang agricultural specialties will be operated.

Meanwhile, Miryang Eoreumgol apples have been designated as Geographical Indication No. 24 by the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service and are cultivated in the Eoreumgol area, which is Natural Monument No. 224. Thanks to the distinct temperature difference between day and night in this region, the apples have high sugar content, firm flesh, and are known to have excellent effects on skin beauty, obesity prevention, hangover relief, and intestinal health.
