On the 28th, JTBC's 'Case Officer' introduced the story of informant B, who reported a drunk driver, Mr. A, to the police in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon. According to B, Mr. A hit a motorcycle parked in front of a store and fled. The motorcycle belonged to B's friend, who was waiting inside his parents' restaurant for a delivery order. During this time, a hit-and-run accident occurred, and the friend immediately caught Mr. A and handed him over to the police.

Breathalyzer results confirmed that Mr. A was intoxicated. Mr. A then left his car nearby and was taken in a police car for investigation. Just when they thought the situation was resolved, B and his friend returned to the accident scene to check the motorcycle and Mr. A's vehicle, only to witness Mr. A's car suddenly moving. Mr. A had gotten behind the wheel again after the police investigation.

When B told him, "You reported to the police, so stop the car," Mr. A replied, "I’m going to park here. I’m going straight in now." When B pointed out, "You just had a police investigation. But now you’re driving drunk again. You should have called a designated driver," Mr. A apologized, saying, "I’m sorry." Mr. A only got out of the vehicle after parking in front of his house, and B ended up reporting him to the police again. The police stated, "Since the man was arrested at the scene, investigated, and then drove drunk again, these are recognized as separate incidents."

B expressed, "My friend can no longer do the food delivery that was his livelihood, and as a result, my parents’ restaurant had to close over the weekend." Currently, the motorcycle’s engine is damaged, making normal operation impossible.

Netizens who read the story reacted with comments such as, "They should have taken the driver home and given him the car keys the next day," "Drunk driving is a habit," and "With so many drunk drivers like this, penalties need to be tougher."
