Netflix's cooking survival program 'Heukbaek Yorisai' cast members directly provided a gourmet event that attracted hundreds of thousands of reservations.
On the 28th, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that reservations for the '2024 Asia's 50 Best Restaurants' commemorative event were fully booked in just 10 seconds. The online reservation platform 'Catch Table' opened reservations for the event from 2 PM that day, and it was reported that 450,000 people accessed the site simultaneously as soon as it started. The ticket price was set at 40,000 KRW per person.
The 150 people who succeeded in making reservations will enjoy fine dining consisting of four different dishes while overlooking the Han River view.
The event features cast members from the recently popular 'Heukbaek Yorisai.' Chefs Jung Young-hoon (Mao·Mills Chef), Oh Jong-il (Mosu Head Chef), Kang Seung-won (Tread Chef), and Bae Kyung-jun (Bonyeon Chef), all formerly of the restaurant 'Mosu,' will present special menus.
Mosu is a restaurant operated by Chef An Seong-jae, who gained popularity as a judge on 'Heukbaek Yorisai.' It is also famous as the only restaurant in Korea to have received three Michelin stars.
The event is scheduled to take place on the 3rd of next month at Banpo Sebitseom. To prevent ticket scalping and illegal transfers, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to verify the identity of the reservation holders at the entrance on the day of the event. Therefore, attendees must bring their ID and attend at the reserved time slot.
