Selected for Green Fund Project... Deck Trail to Be Built with 560 Million Won Investment
Gyeryong City in Chungnam announced on the 29th that the barrier-free sharing trail in the area of Hyangjeoksan Healing Forest in Hyanghan-ri, Eomsa-myeon, has been selected for the 2025 Green Fund Contest Project hosted by the Korea Forest Welfare Institute.
This project will invest a total of 560 million KRW, including 280 million KRW from the lottery fund (Green Fund), to create a decked trail connecting the Hyangjeoksan Healing Center and the Children's Forest Experience Center.
The city expects that, through this project, people with disabilities, children, and the elderly will all be able to enjoy the pleasant natural environment of Hyangjeoksan, and that more people will benefit from the beautiful forest landscape and the advantages of the woods.
Mayor Lee Eungwoo said, "We will do our utmost to develop various facilities and programs, including the barrier-free sharing trail, so that Hyangjeoksan can be reborn as a place of rest and healing for local residents."
Meanwhile, the city is promoting the creation of 'Hyangjeoksan Natural Recreation Forest' over an area of 50 hectares in the Hyangjeoksan area, investing 9.5 billion KRW to establish it as a leading luxury recreation forest in the central region.
