Park Junghyun, Governor of Buyeo County, Visits National Assembly to Request Funding for Major Projects

Park Junghyun, the governor of Buyeo County in Chungnam, announced on the 29th that he visited the National Assembly on the 28th to request national funding for major projects for next year.

Governor Park met with Woo Wonshik, Speaker of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party, Park Jeong, Chairperson of the Special Committee on Budget and Accounts, and lawmakers Park Suhyeon and Jang Cheolmin, among others, to explain the need for increased national funding and the inclusion of certain projects.

The main projects include: △ Expansion and paving of the access road to Gungnamji △ Development and demonstration cluster establishment for biomass-based vegan leather △ Construction of the North Gate parking lot at Busosanseong △ Construction of the Baekje Village Heritage Museum △ Sewer maintenance project for rural fishing villages in Jeonjang District △ Sewer maintenance project for rural villages in Neungsan and Nabok Districts, among others.

Governor Park stated, "Securing national funding is essential to address the urgent issues in Buyeo County, which has a low fiscal self-reliance rate," and added, "We will protect the value of Baekje as an ancient capital and respond to local extinction through sustainable development."

Meanwhile, Buyeo County's fiscal self-reliance rate, an indicator of its ability to cover financial needs independently, stands at 10%, and its fiscal strength index is 0.163 (if less than 1, it is difficult to cover personnel and welfare expenses independently), indicating a poor financial situation.
