KGC Insamgongsa Receives Minister of Agriculture Award for Developing Red Ginseng Oil Health Supplement

Contribution to the Development of Prostate Health Functional Food Using New Lipid-Soluble Ingredients from Red Ginseng

KGC Ginseng Corporation announced on the 29th that it received a Ministerial Commendation at the 27th Agricultural, Forestry and Livestock Food Science and Technology Awards hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

The company explained that it won the award by securing the technology for developing prostate health functional foods using a new material of red ginseng oil, a lipophilic component of red ginseng. In 2022, KGC Ginseng Corporation obtained functional recognition from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety that red ginseng oil "may help prostate health," and in 2023, it acquired the "Green Technology Certification" from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs for its red ginseng oil manufacturing technology.

Last year, the prostate health functional food "CheongKwanJang HongSam Oil RXGIN CLEAN," which was launched by applying the domestic first mass production technology of red ginseng oil, has been receiving great love to the extent that it sold out immediately after its release.

A KGC Ginseng Corporation official said, "This award recognizes our contribution to innovation in the health functional food sector and the promotion of public health through product development using red ginseng oil," adding, "We will continue to introduce various products through practical technology development and further advance existing green technologies by applying new eco-friendly technologies."
