This year, 363 companies related to footwear, textiles, and fashion will participate with 389 booths, and four convergence trend theme halls will be created to showcase to citizens.

Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, 'Passion & Fashion Busan' focuses on convergence trends to foster local brands intensively and stimulate new motivation in the industry. The exhibition will unfold as a dynamic convergence space reflecting future visions such as digital and eco-friendly smart content, along with highly experiential cultural contents like street fashion, coffee, and healthcare.

More than 50 related footwear and fashion brands, including street fashion brands ‘Filluminate’, ‘Elmood’, and ‘Signature’, will be invited in large numbers to showcase street fashion culture at the exhibition. During the event, the ‘Passion & Fashion Busan × Filluminate’ collaboration hoodies will be released as an event on Musinsa, adding meaning to the convergence.

In particular, 10 local representative coffee brands such as ‘Ogu Coffee’ and ‘Iruka’ will participate, and the ‘F&C (Fashion & Coffee)’ event sponsored by ‘Momos Coffee’ and ‘Black Up Coffee’ will be planned to present the first-ever convergence marketing model between footwear fashion brands and coffee brands in Korea.

Additionally, ‘Treksta’, which launched the ‘Hands Free’ line of shoes providing special convenience to consumers’ daily lives, and ‘Shoals’, the first footwear brand in Korea to obtain the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s medical device ‘GMP certification’, will participate with booths to promote synergy effects in the healthcare sector.

Christine Company’s ‘AI Shoe Manufacturing Platform Sinple’, Jeclin’s ‘Recycled Textile Materials’, and Seurre’s ‘Clothing Classification System Using Big Data’, among others, will be featured in the ‘AI Metafashion Playground’ and ‘Fashion Creator’ corners, operating experiential content that highlights digital and eco-friendly convergence synergy.

Moreover, various side events such as the ▲‘Global Business Fair’ ▲Networking events ▲‘Industry Trend Seminars’ ▲Talk shows and fashion shows featuring fashion influencers will be prepared to create a fashion festival space where culture and business coexist.

The ‘Global Business Fair’ will involve about 240 domestic buyers from Shinsegae.com, Musinsa, GS Shop, and overseas buyers such as ‘Nike Vietnam’, ‘Li Ning’, and ‘American Eagle Outfitters’, with matchmaking consultations between participating companies and buyers scheduled.

Networking events and ‘Industry Trend Seminars’ are planned to explore and support business strategies for activating domestic and international transactions and promoting glocal branding.

Fashion people including Busan City footwear industry ambassador ‘Lee Sang-min’ and fashion influencers will participate in large numbers in talk shows, fashion shows, pop-up exhibitions, experience zones, and the Human Future Award (contest), creating a ‘fashion playground’ concept where anyone interested in fashion can directly participate, welcoming visitors.

The opening ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. on October 31 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.

About 100 people, including the city’s deputy mayor, officials from hosting and organizing institutions, and industry representatives, will attend, with an opening video screening, congratulatory performances, and exhibition tours planned.

Lee Jun-seung, Busan City Deputy Mayor, said, “Celebrating the 32nd anniversary of 'Passion & Fashion Busan' this year, we are riding the wave of convergence trends to promote new motivation in the industry and move toward glocal branding. We hope to prepare a fashion festival space where local companies can achieve sustainable growth and both entrepreneurs and citizens can enjoy together, so we ask for your great interest and participation.”
