On the 28th, Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it participated in the '2024 Semiconductor Exhibition (SEDEX 2024)' held for three days from the 23rd to the 25th at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and conducted activities to attract companies.

The Semiconductor Exhibition is the largest semiconductor specialized exhibition in Korea, hosted by the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association. More than 300 companies from all sectors of the semiconductor industry ecosystem, including memory and system semiconductors, equipment and parts, materials, facilities, and sensors, participated.
The city set up a promotional booth at this exhibition and carried out company attraction activities for the Dongsin General Industrial Complex, which was designated as a 'Semiconductor Materials, Parts, and Equipment Specialized Complex' in July last year. In particular, to attract corporate investment, the city visited booths of about 10 companies including Samsung Electronics, held discussions with major semiconductor companies, hosted a briefing session on Anseong's semiconductor industry development strategy, and toured major company promotional booths.
Meanwhile, aiming to create future growth engines and revitalize the local economy, Anseong City has been supporting the operation of contract departments for semiconductor company employees since March this year, and plans to conduct semiconductor equipment process technology development, testbed construction, and employee training with national funding support.
A city official said, "This exhibition served as an opportunity to promote Anseong City's semiconductor industry development strategy and major projects nationwide," adding, "We will continue to expand promotional opportunities to attract semiconductor industries and small and strong enterprises in Anseong."
