Lee Chung-woo, Mayor of Yeoju City, is conducting a briefing on the progress of the cooperative agreement for the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster on the 25th. On the 25th, Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 28th that it held a briefing session on the progress of the implementation of the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster Win-Win Agreement at the situation room on the 4th floor of the city hall, attended by about 30 people including co-chairmen and members of the Yeoju Namhangang Water Use Win-Win Committee and heads of related departments.
The briefing session proceeded in the order of explaining the progress of the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster Win-Win Agreement project, a Q&A session, and watching the promotional video of Yeoju-i.
Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju emphasized that the Win-Win Agreement is expected to yield results such as the creation of jobs through the establishment of industrial complexes and attraction of companies leading to an increase in the young population, and the expansion of sewage treatment areas improving residents' convenience, while directly explaining the main progress of the Win-Win Agreement to the Water Use Win-Win Committee.
The Win-Win Agreement project consists of a total of 11 projects: ▲ purchasing 200 tons of Yeoju rice annually ▲ expanding the area for new and expanded factories ▲ consultation on urban development projects ▲ securing regional development load for total pollution ▲ expanding resident support projects ▲ expanding sewage treatment areas and supporting public sewage treatment facilities ▲ cooperating in installing facilities in the water pipeline installation section ▲ moving in of semiconductor partner companies ▲ social contribution projects ▲ support for semiconductor workforce training ▲ construction of public rental housing. Six projects have been completed, and five are underway.
Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju said, “I believe the Win-Win Agreement is a result achieved by the combined efforts of Yeoju City, the committee members present here, and the citizens of Yeoju,” and added, “I hope that citizens will continue to take an interest and participate so that the Win-Win Agreement can be smoothly implemented in the future.”
