Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province, recently announced on the 28th that five couples were formed at the exciting Goseong Youth Singles event, "Simkung Day."
The event was held at the Goseong Youth Center with 30 local unmarried men and women (20 men and 10 women) participating.
The participants were selected through a lottery among unmarried men and women in their mid-20s to late 30s who are either residents of Goseong-gun or employees of companies and public institutions located in Goseong-gun.
To break the initial awkward atmosphere before the main event, a magic show was performed to warm up the mood, followed by short lectures on dating coaching and conversation skills to enhance male-female matching. The event program then proceeded with rotation conversations, various dating missions, and couple recreations, reducing pressure and building intimacy, allowing participants to enjoy the event while seeking meaningful connections.
One participant said, “Although I came to work in Goseong-gun, I had few opportunities to meet peers or the opposite sex. This trustworthy event organized by the administration gave me a precious time to feel excitement after a long time.”
An official from the county stated, “We hope that through these valuable meetings, local youth will communicate and interact, fostering a positive perception of dating and marriage. We also hope this will be an opportunity for them to meet good partners and settle down in Goseong.”
