Mayor Kim Dong-geun attended the opening ceremony of the KB Insurance Stars volleyball team on the 25th and cheered for the team. The KB Insurance Stars volleyball team (hereinafter KB Stars volleyball team), affiliated with Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun), held their home opening match against Woori Card at Uijeongbu Gymnasium on the 25th, kicking off the 2024-2025 V-League season.
According to Uijeongbu City on the 28th, the KB Stars volleyball team elevated the opening match atmosphere with various events such as a home opening match lottery event, player pin button making, lucky pinball, spike event, and making personalized cheering placards.
Additionally, KB Insurance and the KB Insurance branch of the National Office and Financial Services Labor Union jointly donated a total of 20 million KRW (10 million KRW each through matching grants) to the Gyeonggi Social Welfare Community Chest for social welfare projects in Uijeongbu City, contributing to the spread of a culture of sharing.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I would like to thank all the citizens who joined us for the 2024-2025 season home opening match,” and added, “We will strive to develop Uijeongbu City into a distinguished sports city together with the KB Stars volleyball team.”
Meanwhile, the KB Stars volleyball team is scheduled to play their next match against OK Savings Bank at Ansan Sangnok Gymnasium at 7 p.m. on the 29th.
