"Is It to Get Help for Extra-Parliamentary Struggle?" Direct Hit
Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, criticized the Democratic Party of Korea for being unable to make a decision regarding the abolition of the financial investment income tax, saying, "Are they watching the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU)?"

At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the 28th, Han said, "It seems they are delaying the decision on the financial investment income tax to receive help for their street protests, watching and appeasing groups like the KCTU." He added, "They should be mindful of the people and investors. That is normal politics." This appears to raise suspicion that the Democratic Party is seeking support from the KCTU in connection with their plan to hold a 'National Rally to Condemn Kim Geon-hee's State Corruption' near Seoul Station on the 2nd of next month.
Han also emphasized the importance of launching the ruling-opposition-government consultation body. He pointed out, "Recently, the Democratic Party has shown signs of trying to withdraw from the consultation body for whatever reason." He added, "While I have actively advocated for the consultation body, it was actually Park Chan-dae, the Democratic Party floor leader, who argued for its necessity in a National Assembly speech." He continued, "Instead of finding reasons why it cannot be done now, we should find reasons to start quickly. Winter is coming. I reiterate that protecting the lives and health of the people should be the top priority of politics."
Regarding North Korea's de facto participation in the Ukraine-Russia war, Han said, "It threatens world peace and the security of the Republic of Korea," emphasizing, "The People Power Party strongly condemns North Korea's participation together with the people." He then asked, "What is the Democratic Party's stance on North Korea's participation?" and said, "The Democratic Party is shifting the criticism of North Korea's participation onto our government and the People Power Party. As the opposition party, that is understandable, but we request the Democratic Party to join in the criticism of North Korea's participation."
