Agreement with Ministry of the Interior and Safety... Engraved Inside Representative Products
To Be Applied to Over 50 Products Starting Next Year
Korea Philip Morris announced on the 28th that it will apply crisis household discovery promotional phrases inside the cigarette packs of four representative products, including Teria and Marlboro, and distribute them through convenience stores nationwide. The purpose is to inform that neighbors facing social and economic difficulties can contact the Health and Welfare Counseling Center, local government eup/myeon offices, or dong community centers to receive comprehensive counseling and customized support such as emergency welfare and daily necessities.

This is a measure following the 'Crisis Household Discovery Promotion' agreement signed in July by Korea Philip Morris, the first in the industry, with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The products featuring the crisis household discovery promotional phrases promoted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety include four types: the exclusive tobacco sticks for the heated tobacco device IQOS Iluma, ▲Teria Purple Wave ▲Teria Blue, and the conventional cigarette products ▲Marlboro Gold ▲Marlboro Red.
Starting January next year, the crisis household discovery promotional phrases will be applied to about 50 products of Korea Philip Morris. Currently, the promotional phrases are being broadcast on digital advertising boards in over 1,400 convenience stores nationwide, raising awareness among consumers visiting convenience stores about the necessity and methods of discovering crisis households.
A Korea Philip Morris official said, "As a member of corporate citizenship, we will continue to actively pay attention and strive to contribute to places where help is needed."
