"Demanded Overdue Salary but Was Refused, Committed Crime in a Fit of Rage"

In Seosan, Chungnam, an incident occurred where the owner of a gimbap restaurant was assaulted by an employee and died.

On the 27th, the Seosan Police Station announced that they had arrested a man in his 50s, employee A, on charges of assault leading to death. A is accused of assaulting the owner B, who was in his 60s, at a gimbap restaurant in Seosan where he worked around 10:30 a.m. on the 11th, including pouring boiling water on him, causing injuries requiring six weeks of medical treatment. B, who was transferred to a hospital for treatment, ultimately passed away on the 24th.


A stated, "I demanded the overdue wages from B, but when he refused, I committed the act in a fit of anger."


The police are investigating the detailed circumstances of the incident with A.
