On the 27th, at the final 4th round of the LPGA Tour Maybank Championship (total prize money $3 million) held at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club in Malaysia (par 72, 6,536 yards), she shot a 5-under 67 to secure 3rd place (21-under 267).

Last year’s LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year, Yu Hae-ran, was tied for the lead through the first 3 rounds of this tournament, raising hopes for her 3rd career win following the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship last October and the FM Championship this September, but narrowly missed out. This season, she has finished in the ‘Top 10’ twelve times in 23 tournaments. Her 3rd place finish marks her 4th of the season, following the JM Eagle LA Championship in April, the CPKC Women’s Open in July, and the Kroger Queen City Championship last month.

In-Ru Ning (China) surged with a 7-under 65 to claim victory by one stroke (23-under 265). This is her 3rd win of the season and 5th career win, following the Dow Championship in June and the Buick LPGA Shanghai two weeks ago. The winner’s prize money is $450,000 (approximately 630 million KRW). Gino Titi Kun (Thailand) fought hard, shooting 6-under, but had to settle for runner-up for the second consecutive year (22-under 266).

Last week’s BMW Ladies Championship winner Hannah Green (Australia) finished tied for 6th (15-under 273). For Korea, Choi Hye-jin shot 6-under to also finish tied for 6th. Yang Hee-young finished tied for 18th (11-under 277), An Na-rin tied for 22nd (10-under 278), and Lim Jin-hee ended tied for 30th (9-under 279). Ko Jin-young, returning to the LPGA Tour after two months, finished 67th (even par 288).
