Daejeon City Council Vice Chairman Found Dead in Nonsan

Resident Discovers and Reports to Police

Song Dae-yoon, Vice Chairman of the Daejeon City Council, was found dead.

According to the Nonsan Police Station in Chungnam on the 27th, around 10 a.m. that day, a resident discovered Vice Chairman Song collapsed and deceased by a riverside in Yangchon-myeon, Nonsan City, and reported it to the police.

Vice Chairman Song had visited his mother living in Nonsan the day before to greet her, and after visiting his father's grave, he is believed to have made an irreversible decision. Nonsan is Song's hometown.

A suicide note was reportedly found among Vice Chairman Song's belongings.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of his death, considering it a case of suicide.
