The Yomiuri Shimbun reported on the 27th that the first snowfall on Mount Fuji in Japan has not yet occurred, marking the latest in 130 years of weather observation.
The Kofu Local Meteorological Observatory explained that the reason for the delayed snowfall this year is "because temperatures have remained higher than average."
The latest first snowfall recorded until now was on October 26 in both 2016 and 1955. On average, the first snow accumulation is confirmed on October 2, and last year it was observed on October 5.
