Actor Kim Byung-sun, who left a strong impression on the public by playing the supporting character 'Miss Jo' in the drama 'War of Money,' passed away at a young age. He was 37 years old.
On the 25th, Maeil Business Newspaper reported that the late actor had been battling an illness and passed away on the 24th. Born in 1987, Kim Byung-sun graduated from Kyung Hee University’s Department of Theater and Film and worked as a rookie actor under JYP Entertainment. He debuted in 2006 with a minor role in the film 'Strong Romance,' appeared in the TV novel 'Your Scenery' (2007), and then played 'Miss Jo' in the drama 'War of Money' (2007). After starring in the film 'Romantic Island' (2008) and the daily drama 'The Road Home' (2009), he did not engage in notable activities.
His representative work was the SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama 'War of Money' in 2007. At that time, he played the role of 'Miss Jo,' an office staff member of loan shark Ma Dong-po (played by Lee Jong-won), contributing significantly to the drama’s popularity with his uniquely eccentric yet cute expressions. 'War of Money' was a major hit, surpassing a 30% viewership rating.
The late actor’s funeral was held at Seoul Asan Medical Center Funeral Hall No. 7. The funeral procession is scheduled for 7 a.m. on the 27th, and the burial site is Sian Family Memorial Park.
