On the 24th, employees of the Pyeongtaek Coast Guard visited the Hyundai Steel Plant located in Dangjin, Chungnam, to explore the future development of their organization.
The Coast Guard's "Innovation Pioneer" has been operated since 2019 as a policy support group that gathers diverse opinions from the field to strengthen intergenerational communication and improve work methods, thereby contributing to an efficient and flexible organizational culture.
The visitors on this day included nine employees of the Pyeongtaek Coast Guard, including the "Innovation Pioneer," who visited Hyundai Steel to explore the diverse organizational cultures present at actual industrial sites.
Hyundai Steel offers various welfare benefits to promote work-life integration, such as a flexible work system and five days of summer vacation without deducting annual leave.

Additionally, it drew attention for providing various examples of organizational culture in the format of cooking recipes under the name "Steel Recipe" to encourage positive change within the organization.
Through this visit, the participants recognized the importance of building an organizational culture rooted in fundamentals so that the Coast Guard can respond more flexibly and swiftly to rapidly changing work environments.
Sergeant Son Wookil, who is in charge of the Pyeongtaek Coast Guard Innovation Pioneer, said, "By hearing directly from Hyundai Steel employees about their flexible organizational culture, I was able to think about efficient response measures that the Coast Guard can apply in the field," and added, "We will continue to explore innovative organizational cultures through cooperation with various industries to contribute to the future development of the Coast Guard."
Meanwhile, the Pyeongtaek Coast Guard Innovation Pioneer is engaged in a variety of internal and external activities this year, including communication meetings with commanders, participation in Coast Guard experience booths, contests, and external activities.
