Gyeongnam Jeongbo University Hotel Baking and Pastry Department Wins Multiple Awards at Busan International AF Artisan Festival

Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Tae-sang) saw its Hotel Baking and Pastry students achieve outstanding results at the "12th Busan International AF Artisan Festival 2024" held at BEXCO in Busan.

The students participated in various categories such as marzipan, sugar craft, and chocolate art, demonstrating excellent skills. Eight students won Gold Awards (Kwon Na-yoon, Kim Eun-chae, Park Eun-joo, Son Ji-woo, Woo Na-kyung, Lee Kyung-eun, Lim Soo-yeon, Chu Yeon-hee), four students received Silver Awards (Park Min-joo, Song Kyung-min, Song Ye-rim, Yang In-mo), the National Assembly Member Award was given to the student team of Kwon Na-yoon, Woo Na-kyung, Jo Hyun-hwa, Son Ye-hee, and Son Ji-woo, and the Busan Mayor Award was awarded to the student team of Kim Eun-chae and Lim Soo-yeon.

Professor Choi Jung-soo, head of the Hotel Baking and Pastry Department at Gyeongnam Information University, said, "By participating in a large-scale competition, students have the opportunity to experience the skills required in real-world settings, strengthen their confidence in their career paths, and build a foundation for a successful career after graduation."

The Busan International AF Artisan Festival is an event that attracts participants from countries such as Taiwan, Japan, and Malaysia, providing students with opportunities to enhance their skills and exposure to various techniques and trends.
