Pyeongtaek City Engages in Corporate Investment Attraction Activities at 'KES 2024'

Joint Operation of Promotional Booth with Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority

Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it participated in the '2024 Korea Electronics Show (KES 2024)' held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, from the 22nd to the 25th, engaging in corporate investment attraction activities.

Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Electronics Show is a representative domestic technology exhibition celebrating its 55th anniversary this year. This year, 550 companies participated, setting up about 1,400 booths.

This year, Pyeongtaek City, which operated a joint promotional booth with the Gyeonggi Free Economic Zone Authority, carried out investment attraction activities focused on the city’s key strategic industries such as semiconductors, hydrogen, and future automobiles. The city particularly promoted development plans, industrial complex sales status, incentive systems, and transportation and living environments such as the Jije Station complex transfer center.

The city plans to focus on attracting materials, parts, and equipment (SoBuJang) companies and research institutions to areas such as the 'Brain City General Industrial Complex,' linked with the 'National Advanced Strategic Industry Semiconductor Specialized Complex' designated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

Jung Jang-seon, mayor of Pyeongtaek City, said, "The city is creating a business-friendly environment through customized workforce training and improvements in transportation and residential conditions," adding, "We will do our best to attract many companies to invest in Pyeongtaek."

Meanwhile, the city plans to hold the '2024 Pyeongtaek City Investment Attraction Briefing' at Anfelis Convention near Jije Station in Pyeongtaek on the 26th of next month.
