Dongmyeong University Announces 13 Teams Advancing to Middle and High School Band Competition Finals

The Department of Entertainment Arts at Dongmyung University (Head: Lee Woo-young) selected 13 teams to advance to the final round through a preliminary video screening for the 1st Dongmyung University President's Award Middle and High School Band Competition, scheduled to be held on November 2.

As of the 22nd, a total of about 190 applicants had registered. They produced and submitted ensemble videos full of diverse musical passion and unique individuality. Internal and external judges evaluated the entries in categories such as creativity, difficulty, vocal ability, and arrangement and performance skills.

The finalists (group name - school name) are Sangsang - Gyeongwon High School, Jeong Hyojin Band - Busan Munhwa Girls' High School, LP Band - Busan Yebit School, CKC - Busan Technical High School, OY Band - Busan International Film High School, Fluffness - Busan Gyeongnam High School, Pocari - Ungsang High School, Jisangchoegang Band - Gimhae Gyeongwon High School, Youth of Time - Jinju Dongmyung High School, Dream High - Gimhae Gyeongwon High School, Dilemma Band - Goseong Music High School, Siseon - Hamyang Girls' Middle School, and JX Band - Busan Video Arts High School.

They will compete on the live final stage at the Music Hall in the main building of Dongmyung University on November 2.

Jeon Ho-hwan, President of Dongmyung University, said, "Nurturing young cultural artists is very important for the development of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region. Dongmyung University will play a significant role in discovering young and vibrant performers and artists, and this competition will also contribute greatly."
