Woori Green Science announced on the 25th that it participated in the '2024 Korean Society of Food and Nutrition Science International Symposium' and presented research results on liposome technology titled 'Development of Food Materials Using Liposome Method.'
The symposium was held from the 23rd of this month until this day at the Jeju International Convention Center under the theme 'Technological Advances from Farm to Table for Health.'
Liposomes are a micro-particle technology that helps effectively deliver nutritional components and have recently been gaining attention in health functional foods and drug delivery systems.
Woori Green Science presented under the themes 'The Effect of Liposome Technology on the Bioavailability of Functional Food Ingredients,' 'Cryo-Electron Microscopy (Cryo-EM) Liposome Characterization for Health and Food Innovation,' and 'The Impact and Future Prospects of Liposome Technology in the Food Industry.' Through these presentations, the company introduced its proprietary liposome manufacturing technology and outlined its future vision.
Kim Seon-jung, Technical Director at Woori Green Science, stated, "Liposome technology is an innovative solution that significantly enhances the bioavailability of nutrients and is a delivery system that is changing the landscape of the functional food industry. We will continue to lead next-generation food technology through ongoing research and development."
At this symposium, Woori Lighting Group, the parent company of Woori Green Science, set up a booth along with Woori Bio and Woori E&L to introduce their latest products to symposium participants, showcasing the 'Harutin' product, which incorporates their liposome technology.
