Emotional Laborer Protection Conference to be Held on November 20
Comprehensive Project and Malicious Complaint Measures Unveiled

The Seoul 120 Dasan Call Foundation will hold a conference next month to disclose the results of its comprehensive project to protect emotional laborers.

The foundation announced on the 25th that it will hold the "Emotional Laborer Protection Conference" at Seoul City Hall on November 20. Anyone interested in the topic can attend, and those who wish to participate must register in advance by November 11. The 120 Dasan Call Foundation was launched in September 2007 with the slogan "Solving Seoul citizens' complaints with a single phone call."

At this conference, the foundation plans to reveal the results of the "Comprehensive Project to Protect Emotional Laborers," which has been underway since August this year. Through the project, they investigated cases of complaints in blind spots beyond those subject to legal action under current laws, classified types of emotional labor damage cases, and plan to propose necessary response procedures and policies by type of damage. They will also introduce comprehensive measures against malicious complaints for emotional laborers.

In Session 1 of the conference, the actual conditions of malicious and aggressive complaints experienced by public and private call centers will be shared, along with the impacts and issues arising from different types of emotional damage. Support measures to resolve these issues will also be presented.

Session 2 will analyze the current status of legal, medical, and social policies for emotional laborers, discuss the physical and mental effects of handling malicious and aggressive complaints, and consider the social responsibility to protect emotional laborers.

Session 3 will provide a forum for communication. Experts from various fields and emotional laborers will participate in discussions based on real experiences and cases to explore cooperative measures for protecting emotional laborers.
