On the 24th (local time), the Israeli military announced that it conducted overnight airstrikes on several weapons facilities of the Iran-aligned militant group Hezbollah located in Dahieh, south of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.
The Israeli military stated, "Hezbollah has established their weapons factories and storage facilities underground or inside civilian buildings in densely populated areas," adding, "This shows Hezbollah's systematic abuse of civilian facilities with the intent to endanger residents."
The Israeli military explained that prior to the airstrikes, they issued evacuation orders to local residents and took measures to minimize civilian casualties.
Additionally, the Israeli military reported that the 646th Brigade, deployed in the ground operations in southern Lebanon, located and destroyed underground hideouts of Hezbollah's Radwan Special Forces. They added, "(This area) was created by Radwan unit terrorists to be used in their plan to conquer Galilee (Israeli-occupied territory near the Lebanon border)," and "They discovered AK-47 rifles, rockets, mortars, shoulder-fired missiles, rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and anti-tank missiles."
