7351 Participants... A New Cultural Experience
Gyeonggi Namyangju City (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 24th that the "Visiting Cultural Outing" performances, held 20 times from April to October, concluded successfully with the participation of 7,351 students.
The Visiting Cultural Outing was planned to provide students with cultural experiences while expanding opportunities for creative experiential learning.
This performance consisted of the non-verbal performance "Nanta" for upper elementary students, the family musical "Alsatang" for lower elementary students, and the b-boy musical "Marionette" enjoyed by middle and high school students.
A total of 121 classes from 19 elementary schools watched "Nanta," 100 classes from 19 elementary schools watched "Alsatang," and 75 classes from 7 middle and high schools watched "Marionette." Students enjoyed the performances during class time, relieving academic stress and broadening their cultural knowledge.
In particular, during the "Nanta" performance, Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City personally watched the performance with the students and listened to various opinions about their cultural experiences.
A city official stated, "We are pleased to provide new cultural experiences to 7,351 students through the Visiting Cultural Outing," and added, "We will continue to strive to ensure that all citizens can enjoy diverse experiences without cultural exclusion through various cultural programs."
The "Visiting Cultural Outing," which began in 2009, has established itself as Namyangju City's unique cultural brand, and special cultural performances are planned for next year as well.
