Ordered Grilled Jwipo but Got 'Jwipo-Flavored Snack'
Complaint Met with "What Do You Expect at This Price?" and Irritation
"I ordered Jjajangmyeon but got Jjapaghetti instead"
A customer who ordered grilled dried filefish (jupo) through delivery shared a ridiculous story of receiving 'jupo-flavored snacks' instead. Netizens who saw the story reacted with comments like "It's like ordering Jjajangmyeon and getting Jjapaghetti" and "Ordered shrimp tempura but got shrimp crackers," expressing their disbelief.
On the 24th, a post titled "Am I just being unreasonable?" was uploaded on an online community. The writer, Mr. A, said he recently ordered grilled jupo to eat with beer through a delivery platform.

However, Mr. A was shocked when he received the delivery. Instead of grilled jupo, he got 'snacks that taste like jupo.' Mr. A stated, "Normally, even if the delivery is wrong or missing, I just call the store, talk to the owner, and end the call after a simple apology. But this time, I couldn’t accept it, so I called the store."
He immediately called the store and asked, "Excuse me, I think the food was delivered incorrectly. Could you please check?" The owner reportedly snapped back, saying, "That's how it’s normally served," "The ingredients are the same," and "What kind of quality do you expect at this price?"

Mr. A said, "The delivery company said they couldn’t do anything. Am I the unreasonable one? I left a one-star review describing everything as it is, but they deleted it," and shared photos. The photos revealed the store’s picture of grilled jupo posted on the delivery app and the actual food Mr. A received. The grilled jupo in the delivery app photo shows dried filefish grilled, priced at 6,500 KRW for three pieces. However, the food Mr. A actually received was jupo-flavored snacks.
Netizens who saw the story responded with comments such as "This is outright fraud," "They say that’s how it’s normally served," "Has no one complained until now?" "Ordered chicken drumsticks but got snack drumsticks," "This is ridiculous. This kind of place should go out of business," "Please reveal the store name," and "I’m speechless but laughing."
