Jo Guk, leader of the Jo Guk Innovation Party, supported Han Dong-hoon, leader of the People Power Party, who is in conflict over resolving suspicions involving President Yoon Seok-yeol and First Lady Kim Geon-hee on the 24th. Jo, who adopted and proposed the 'Han Dong-hoon Special Prosecutor Act' as the party's top priority bill in the 22nd National Assembly, sent a message of encouragement to Han, with whom he is in an adversarial relationship.
At the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly that day, Jo said, "This is the last chance given by the people for (Han) to somewhat atone for the sins of contributing to the launch of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration." During his speech, Jo clenched his fist and shouted, "Han Dong-hoon fighting!"
He added, "The responsibility for crossing the line in all aspects of state affairs does not lie solely with President Yoon and his wife. The ruling party, especially Han, also bears responsibility." He criticized, "Han loudly claimed he would speak up about the Special Prosecutor Acts for Corporal Chae and Kim Geon-hee, but was always overwhelmed by President Yoon's momentum, resulting in everything fizzling out and ending in disappointment."
Jo stated, "It seems Han felt insulted after the Yongsan meeting and has made some kind of resolution," and urged, "Choose which side you will stand on. Your brother and sister-in-law, or the people. If you stand with the people, decisively break away from President Yoon and his wife."
He added, "Yoon Seok-yeol and Kim Geon-hee are a disgrace to conservatism, and the Jo Guk Innovation Party will support Han in making a good choice."
