The Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group held a midterm exam snack sharing event on the 23rd to encourage students during the midterm exam period.
For this event, the volunteer group prepared 300 pieces of bread and drinks using their fund. President Kim Young-do and members of the volunteer group attended and personally distributed the prepared snacks to the students.
Kim Young-do, President of Dong-Eui Institute of Technology, said, “We organized this event hoping that students facing exams could take a break, socialize with friends for a moment, and recharge,” adding, “We will continue to provide various participatory events that promote active communication with students and do our best to improve student satisfaction.”
A student who received the support and snacks said, “I was planning to study late at the library during the exam period, but receiving snacks and encouragement from the president gives me strength,” and added, “I will not forget the president’s warm encouragement and will study hard to achieve good grades.”
Since its launch in 2008, the Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Faculty and Staff Volunteer Group has been conducting various social contribution activities such as supporting meal services, sharing kimchi and briquettes, based on funds collected monthly from staff salaries and donations, to help low-income groups and the elderly who are in welfare blind spots.
