A driver who caused a public nuisance on the sidewalk using the vehicle's bounce function faced backlash.
On the 23rd, JTBC's 'Case Officer' revealed a video of a foreign car driver, Mr. A, using the vehicle's built-in 'bounce function' to roam the sidewalk. The problematic vehicle passed along the sidewalk, flashing its hazard lights and bouncing up and down as if dancing. The video was reportedly posted by Mr. A himself on his social media account. Along with the video, he wrote, "I relieve stress by playing music and driving in the car," and "I tried this bounce bounce thing, and it really feels good. A friend filmed it. We are girls."
After the video spread online and criticism arose, Mr. A deleted the post. He explained, "The bounce function is originally a feature in my car used to escape when the car is stuck in places like sand." He added, "It's something friends do occasionally for fun, but filming on the sidewalk at dawn just because there were no people was indeed wrong," acknowledging his mistake.
Netizens who saw the video responded with comments such as, "Don't just drive the car, learn public manners too," "It's absurd that he himself posted the video, not a passerby," and "Does he really think that's cool?"
