On the 24th, KB Securities analyzed that KNSOL's record-high order backlog is drawing attention and its mid- to long-term order outlook is positive.
KNSOL is engaged in businesses centered on industrial cleanrooms (semiconductor/display), dry rooms (secondary batteries), bio cleanrooms, and bridge construction, and is preparing the immersion cooling business as a future growth engine. Its performance in the first half of this year showed sales of 270.8 billion KRW and operating profit of 13.8 billion KRW, increasing by 55.8% and 125.7% respectively compared to the same period last year.
Researcher Im Sang-guk of KB Securities stated, "The order backlog, which was 214 billion KRW as of Q2 2022, increased by 177% to 592.8 billion KRW in two years," and analyzed, "While orders for industrial cleanrooms have been steady, the noticeable increase in orders for dry rooms and bio cleanrooms is the cause."
Researcher Im added, "Going forward, orders for industrial cleanrooms are expected from Samsung Electronics (P4, C4) and SK Hynix M15X lines, and with the government-led development of the Yongin semiconductor cluster (scheduled for 2026) gaining momentum, the mid- to long-term order outlook is also positive. Dry room orders are expected to be deferred due to the electric vehicle chasm but will lead to mid- to long-term orders, and benefiting from the U.S. Biosecurity Act, which is expected to pass within the year, domestic bio companies' investments in CMO and CDMO will accelerate, continuing bio cleanroom orders."
He also analyzed that cooperation with 'Submer,' the global No.1 immersion cooling company, is anticipated. He said, "According to media reports, 'Submer,' a partner of Intel, recently formed partnerships with Dell and Supermicro," and added, "Since Dell and Supermicro are respectively responsible for Maersk's xAI and NVIDIA data center AI servers, interest in KNSOL, which is cooperating with 'Submer' in Korea, is expected to increase."
