Yangju City Prepares for Winter Natural Disasters... Holds 'Meeting with Related Organizations and Private Groups'

Yangju City is holding the '2024 Meeting with Related Organizations and Private Groups' on the 23rd in the situation room on the 2nd floor of the city hall.

Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it held the '2024 Meeting with Related Organizations and Private Groups' in the situation room on the 2nd floor of City Hall.

Presided over by Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min, this meeting was organized to strengthen the cooperation system among various organizations and discuss comprehensive measures for citizen safety in preparation for disaster situations such as heavy snow and cold waves in the upcoming winter season.

At the meeting, representatives from related organizations including Yangju Police Station, Yangju Fire Station, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, as well as private groups such as the Construction Machinery Council, Thermal Management Construction Association, and Regional Autonomous Disaster Prevention Group attended. They engaged in in-depth discussions on safety management for heavy snow and cold waves during winter and ways to establish a rapid response system in case of disaster situations.

In particular, the meeting included a review of emergency response manuals for climate changes such as heavy snow and cold waves, along with various discussions, contributing to the establishment of a cooperative system for responding to natural disasters in winter.

Vice Mayor Kim Jeong-min stated, “Through this meeting, each organization will cooperate to prepare for various disasters that may occur in winter, protect citizens' lives and property, and do our best to support a safe winter.”

Meanwhile, Yangju City plans to continuously strengthen cooperation with related organizations and private groups to proactively respond to winter disasters.
