Establishing Various Social Support Foundations for Relieving Household Stress

The Guri City Council of Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Shin Dong-hwa) approved the "Ordinance on Support for Alleviating Household Stress in Guri City," proposed by Councilor Jeong Eun-cheol at the 2nd plenary session of the 341st extraordinary meeting on the 23rd, as originally drafted.

This ordinance was enacted to activate a virtuous cycle of family policies that can maintain healthy and happy family life and to support various projects aimed at alleviating household stress.

The ordinance includes provisions on ▲the purpose of the ordinance and definitions of terms ▲the mayor's responsibilities and scope of application ▲citizen participation and support projects regulations ▲delegation of duties and actual condition surveys ▲and awards.

Councilor Jeong Eun-cheol stated, "Household chores should not be considered merely as simple domestic tasks but as important work that forms the foundation for maintaining a healthy family," adding, "Through the enactment of this ordinance, I hope various social policies to protect and sustain healthy families will be established, making Guri City a place overflowing with healthy and happy families."
