Over 1,000 Nationwide Club Members Compete at Seobong Park Golf Course

Gwangju City held the "13th Gwangju Metropolitan City Mayor's National Park Golf Tournament" over two days from the 23rd to the 24th at Seobong Park Golf Course in Gwangsan-gu.
Hosted and organized by the Gwangju City Park Golf Association, this tournament featured around 1,000 participants, including executives and players from park golf clubs nationwide, competing to showcase their skills.
The opening ceremony held on the morning of the 23rd was attended by Mayor Kang Ki-jung, the tournament chairman, Park Byung-gyu, head of Gwangsan District Office, Jeong Mu-chang, Gwangju City Council member, Lee Geum-yong, president of the Korea Park Golf Association, and Lee Yong-beom, president of the Gwangju City Park Golf Association.
In his opening remarks, Mayor Kang said, "People who love park golf from all over the country have come to Gwangju. I hope you enjoy the competition and demonstrate your skills to the fullest," adding, "Gwangju City will continue to strive to promote park golf."
On the same day, Mayor Kang, along with the guests, took part in a park golf tee-off and cheered on the participating players.
This tournament features about 600 players who advanced through the preliminary rounds competing in men's and women's individual events over two days. Rankings are determined by the total score over 36 holes, and awards are given to the top 10 players in both men's and women's individual categories.
Meanwhile, Seobong Park Golf Course, a 36-hole park golf course developed along the Hwangryong River, is loved by visitors for its beautiful scenery and ecological walking trails.
