October 29 Opening... Second Seoul-Style Kids Cafe Following Junggok 3-dong Branch
536㎡ Total Area, Play Facilities and Toys for Children Aged 1 to 6
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will open a new branch of the Seoul-style kids cafe ‘Kkumi Pangpang Playground’ in Jayang 4-dong on the 29th.
The ‘Kkumi Pangpang Playground (87 Neungdong-ro)’ in Jayang 4-dong is an indoor play space for children aged 1 to 6. With the concept of ‘Let’s play at the Han River!’ reflecting the local特色, it offers a charming sky-blue resting place. It is built on a total floor area of 536㎡ and can accommodate up to 50 people at the same time.
First, it is equipped with various play facilities that are good for the physical development of young children. Toys, slides, ball pits, trampolines, climbing walls, and jungle gyms are provided to stimulate children’s interest. Stationery such as colored pencils and drawing paper are also available for craft experiences.
Another feature is that each play zone has been given a name. The area with a view of the Han River is named ‘Han River Playground.’ Friendly names like ‘Ttukttak Ttukttak Playground,’ ‘Car Playground,’ and ‘Pangpang Jump Playground’ welcome the children.
For safety, a dedicated team of seven staff members has been organized. Safety managers, caregivers, and operators are always on site to prepare for any accidents. Also, guardians with children aged 36 months or older can use the ‘Play Care Service.’ The assigned staff member monitors play activities in real time and takes immediate action if any risk factors are detected.
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. Each session lasts 2 hours, with three sessions on weekdays and four on weekends. The usage fee is 3,000 KRW per child, with one guardian admitted free of charge. An additional 2,000 KRW is charged for using the play care service. Reservations can be made through the ‘Seoul Our Neighborhood Care Portal.’
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Following the opening of the Junggok 3-dong branch last year, we have added a Seoul-style kids cafe in Jayang 4-dong, a residential area. We will do our best to create a child-rearing friendly environment where both children and guardians can play freely and safely without any burden.”
